0 mine got a plastic bag in the blades so i tipped it up on its side and removed it and when i restarted it, the biggest cloud of pure white smoke ive ever seen came out of it for a while then it quit and returned to normal.....if yours has been tipped up or stored on really uneven ground it could do the same

0 OK - first - check all the belts ! Now - an air cooled engine ain't supposed to be blowing white smoke! Was this thing stored out-side last winter ? White smoke is usually an indicater of water in the crankcase or intake track ! Good luck !
