My friend bought this product for a present. But t...

My friend bought this product for a present. But then didn't want it. She gave it to me. She gave me the camcorder and the wire that goes along with it. But she gave me no memory card. So i put 2 "AA" batteries in it and a memory card from my cannon camera. I got it to work for like 1 second. Now it won't turn on again. What should I do?
