5 Straight 30w oil is great for lawnmowers, chainsaws and generators. Many riding mowers, however, call for a "specific oil" but it's just 10w 30. 30w is the heavier of the two. If you live in a mild climate stick with the 10w 30. If it's a warmer climate, use the 30w.
