Troy-Bilt TB415CS No Spark Was edging lawn, stopped the trimmer to replace line. Would not start again. Removed and cleaned spark plug, no joy. Unscrewed spark plug and leaned it on the cooling fins, pulled the cord a few times but could not see any spark. Checked on-off switch with ohm meter. When the switch is unplugged the normal (on) position reads infinite ohms, pressed (off) reads 0 ohms. Reading between the wires that lead to the switch is 190 ohms. Is there a better way to check the spark coil?

0 I finally got it figured out and thought I'd post here in case anyone else runs into the same problem. It turns out that the gap between the magnets on the flywheel and the ignition coil was off. I removed the ignition coil (two screws) and throughly cleaned off all the gunk that had accumulated around the flywheel. I then put the coil back in place, but did not tighten the screws yet. The gap between the magnets and ignition coil core ends is supposed to be 0.010 (ten-thousandths) of an inch. This is just about the thickness of a standard business card. So I placed a business card over the magnets and turned the flywheel until the magnets lined up with the coil core ends and pushed the coil against the business card. I then tightened the two screws. I put everything back together, pulled the cord and it fired right up. It ran a little rough so I replaced the spark plug for good measure. Now it runs like a champ.
