How to replace the pull start rope on a Troy Built...

How to replace the pull start rope on a Troy Built TB475ss 4 cycle string trimmer. I have the machine dismantled down to a panel nut that retains the recoil pulley. Is the panel removed (carefully ripped off) to gain access and then replaced or is the entire housing replaced?? Thanks Eric
