wont stay in gear when tilling. you have to hold lever down

5 you need to tighten the big nut where your fast and slow shifter is attached to side of the tiller

5 Put it in fwd gear (engine off) check clearance between roller and ramp block attach bracket. If more than 1/4in., loosen ramp block and move up to decrease to 1/4in., tighten down bolt. Should solve problem, good luck.

1 I have A Troy-Bilt Horse and I had the same problem. With the Horse, after 2 hours of operation you may need to tighten the belt. Go to your owner's manual (or the Troy-Bilt website for online viewing) and read the section on adjusting the belt. That should do it.
