My Dad passed away and I now have all of his equipment. He had aTroy-Bilt horse tiller Model M8ST, Spec 301609, and Serial 2301500272, and had furrows, HD and ST blades, etc. It was kept in shed, outstanding condition, but I know nothing about it. Can someone give me some information regarding and approximate year, etc. I found a 1989 invoice, but it was for an older model. I remember him saying it wasn't big or powerful enough and he purchased another some time later, but I can't remember the timeframe. Can someone give me a reasonable price I should put on this since unfortunately, it is not needed on my property. He also had a John Deere 240 Lawn Tractor with a 48" deck, mulcher, broadcast spreader, lawn sweeper, and never used front blade and utility cart. This also needs to be sold. I think he bought this around the mid 1990s and if anyone can give me an approximate resale value I would really appreciate it! Unfortunately, due to the cancer, he was unable to tend to everything and others took care of it with their own equipment, therefore, the equipment is less used and was stored. Thanks for your help, it's appreciated.

0 The engine your referring to is the Kohler motor. The tiller itself has a serial # stamped on the right side near the base either on the transmission cover or a ledge to the side. You may have to do some scraping to fnd it. They are there.Usually 6 digits long.Calling Troybilt will tell the month & year it was produced and which family of Horse model it is.From there you can download the manuals for free.
