Question About Troy-Bilt Snow Blower STORM Series
Troy Built 26" Storm...

Inquiring to see if thrower belt can be adjusted. Has mild squeal during blowing. Can belt be tightened or need to replace?

0 The belt on My Troy-Bilt Squall 31AS2B5-711 is able to be tightened by adjusting the clutch cable and the idler bracket. Take pressure off the idler pulley while adjusting the spring on the idler bracket or tighten the clutch cable that that is mounted at the lower part of the bracket. I am going to work on mine now. I will send you a picture. Tell me if they are simular. Mike W

0 does this have a shear pin it acts like it is not turning all the time and throwing the snow out
