0 What has happened is the bearings in the steering mechanism has rusted up. You can disassemble the drive and remove the bearings and go to a good bearing supply dealer and get replacements and rebuild both sides. The dealer will want big $$$ for the assemblies and with a little time you can rebuild with bearings that have more grease for a lot cheaper price. I did mine a couple years ago and all is fine. I will probably go back thru and regrease it in the spring next year.
