wont start...

engine will start then fades out and need to pump the the fuel pimp to get it to even sart to turnover

0 I have the exact same problem. the engine will fade out after a minute. I also noticed a black smoke stain on the silver metal vent on the side of the lawn mower and can smell something burning...the oil level looks fine but gonna add a little more to see if this helps at all... i will becareful not to put too much oil..i've already made that mistake previously.
