Question About Troy-Bilt Lawn Mower Pony
White smoke front of tractor...

The last time I used my Troy Bilt Pony it was fine. I turned it on this past week and it spuddered, and tremendous amounts of white smoke came out the front. Earlier this year I drained the oil and filled it with new oil. The gas is not old, fresh from the pump. New spark plugs and air filters. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?

0 I'm having the same problom. worked fine last week went to use it yesterday and it keeps puffing out white smoke. Have you had any luck fixing it?

0 I have had the same problem... Sent mower to shop thinking "A new Motor" yikes.. Turns out, I was told it was a "jet" issue in the carb. When I got the bill they hadn't changed them, I suspect they changed oil and filters. And it was fixed. If it happen again I will change jets. they also said that the gas is blending too much with the gas causing the smoke, which makes sense..

0 Sorry, last sentence was suppose to say the gas is blending to much with the oil causing the white smoke. That leads me to the jets conclusion.

0 Troy Bilt Pony 17.5 h.p. New starter and battery. Grunts 4 or 5 times like it has a low battery before it will turn over.

0 I drained all the gas and changed the oil, replaced tha air filter (did not have an oil filter) and the problem went away. Not sure how the oil got mixed in with the gas but after changing both, it worked fine.
