Will turn turn left but will not turn right. It seems that a cog is stripped out.

0 It is called a Hex Flange Nut, it is likely worn down on one side. you can access this by removing the small gear wheel on the undercairage. One you have removed the gear wheel and its washer the steering column should pull up, but not totally out, just lift it a few inches. Then go to the underside and feel around for Flanged nut inside the opening the column sits. good luck
