replaced the belt that runs blades it is to loose ...

replaced the belt that runs blades it is to loose and will only run the blades in highest setting lower the deck and they wont work to much slack in new belt i got the belt that all the computers say it calls for and even the guy at lowes said this was the belt what can i do to tighten up the slack where it will work
