I have just received a replacement part for my tro...

I have just received a replacement part for my troy bilt lawn tractor, Bronco, a Spindle shaft. Question: before reinstalling, does the shaft have to be lubed or anything? The old one is a little greased up but I don't have any directions to refer to for reassembly. Thanks.
