5 This is for other person with low or no oil on the chain. My saw had the same problem. I am also looking for repair manual but it will be almost if at all impossible to get. Troy Bilt does support engines made by their company with work shop/repair manuals but not engines made by other manufacturers. This saw and engine, you can tell from the serial number configuration, is made by TB. However, on their official repair manual list for authorized repair shop there is not even a manual for this saw. I have sent an email to them to try to find out why. NO answer after 5 days. RE: the oiler. It is not hard to fix. Go to TB parts finder and enter the model and serial number and you will get a diagram and list of the parts. If you have any DIY mechnical skills you should be able to replace or clean the damaged part. It may not be the oiler assembly itself but like in my case the worm gear which is plastic that rotates when the chain does and meshes with the oiler was melted. The parts are not expensive. Range $2.50 to maybe $10 for the oil assembly. Lots cheaper than taking to repair shop.
