Any suggestions? Trimmer will start at full choke but when moving choke to run it dies... cleaned filter, replaced gas cap (thought it was clogged) and put in new gas- its less than a year old.

0 I am having the exact same problem. I cleaned the spark plug and the spark arrester, but it still dies when it's not on choke. It is 2 years old. No other problems until now. If anyone knows of another site that provides a solution, please post it here.

0 Like you, John, I also cleaned the air filter. And the gas is from the same can I've been using all summer, so it's not the fuel mixture. Very frustrating. Been trying to fix it for 2 hours. Just now starting to look for solutions online. I'll be back here if I find it.

0 I replaced the fuel lines. There were actually minors cracks in the tubes where they insert into the gas tank. Then I sprayed gum-out in the carburetor and put fresh fuel in the tank... Still no luck. So that's about all I can think of, so I'm going to take it in or get something new. Y'all check your fuel lines in any case.

0 Mine is 2y old and has stopped turning over altogether. Fresh fuel, checked spark and even replaced spark plug. I get a spark from the plug. With the fuel lines out of the tank but full of fuel, I can shoot fuel across the room, so I think the fuel system is working. Still nothing. Followed all the troubleshooting directions, so I guess calling Toro is next.

0 Same problem... you will waste so much time and only get poor results probably wont start at all. I wasted a whole day. It is better to just throw it away and get something else. (Not a Toro!) You will be less frustrated.
