Question About Tecumseh Portable Generator HM80-155404L
When I hold thge engine kill tab against the spark...

When I hold thge engine kill tab against the spark plug flames and loud popping emits from the muffler. How do I stop this? Tecumseh model HM80-155404L serial 1008D. When I manually hold the carburetor to the "idle" position, the engine shuts down with no flames or popping out the muffler. Engine runs very good with a 800 watt load.
