0 I have the same problem with my Snapper Z250. If I shut the unit off without waiting for it to slow to full idle, the belt kicks off. It also kicks off if the mower backfires during startup. I used to be bad about coming into the storage room at full speed and pulling back the throttle and shutting off the unit at the same time. It still kicks off the belt occationally with no apparent reason.
