0 there are 3 safety interlocks that must be closed for the mower to start. The interlocks are electrical switches. 1. neutral(where lever goes thru the console) 2. blade off( on lever that engages belt tensioner. 3. seat switch(under seat in middle. I put idiot lights on my tractor to know which one it is.
