Question About Simplicity Lawn Mower 2690263
Unable to reinsert key into reverse pto switch...

This is a 22 HP Conquest. I took the little yellow key out of the reverse PTO switch and now I can't get it all the way back in. It stops about 1/4" from the shoulder of the key. It won't turn, and I can't enable the function anymore. Help!

0 Sounds like there is something in the bottom of the hole keeping the key from seating. Try blowing the debris out. There is also a detent ball in there which may be stuck. Try a drop or two of WD40 in there, that may free the ball up.

0 same thing happened to us - we put WD40 in and it still won't re-insert the yellow key
