Question About Simplicity Lawn Mower 20 Hydro
engine overheating...

Sunstar 20 hydro with CH20S Kohler overheats to the extent the engine shuts down the ignition. Have to wait till engine cools down before it will restart. Three Simplicity Dealers have failed to find the problem. The oil sentry sensor has been replaced 3 times. email is jackb@mtco.com thanks!

0 There was so much oil sludge in mine that I was getting no pressure. Had to pressure clean with kerosene all oil ways and pump. Runs great now. Most of these engines did not have oil filter.

0 Thanks for the comment about sludge, but I bought this machine new, and change oil and filter every spring and fall. Do not believe this is my problem.
