Question About Sears Lawn Mower 917.376460
lawn mower won't start....

Lawn mower has been tuned up-new spark plugs-air filter etc. The only way the mower will now start is if I open the housing that holds the air filter. Once it starts I close the housing holding the air filter and then it mows fine. Any suggestions on what could be causing this prob would be appreciated.
