Why is gas leaking on brand new Ryobi back pack ga...

Why is gas leaking on brand new Ryobi back pack gas blower- model RY08420A.I used it once, and let it cool and stored overnight and next day noticed gas along seam of engine cover and on platform engine sits on. Gas tank does not seem to be leaking, nor do the fuel lines seem to be leaking.
