the choke lever is plastic and broke off. therefore I can't start the blower. I've spent over an hour looking online for the part. The owners manual doesn't have a part # for this part, but has a part # for the labels . Can anyone please be of help?

5 Mine broke off too....I'm waiting for the part (518824001) that is currently on backorder. If you use a needlenose pliers, you can turn the choke to the start position and it will cliuck off when you engage the throttle. Like it did before it broke.

4 Mine broke also. They gave me a new carburator. It was under warrantee The carb part number for this model is 308028001. They said the choke lever part number is 518824001, but when I took it to get repaired, the lever number wasnt listed. They put a new carburator on free

0 Started, then it stopped. will not restart. changed plug and inspected, no fault found. when it died, sound was a brief metallic clunk

0 Your choke operates off a system called "simple-start". I had a roto-choke on a ryobi, removed it..and now with air filter off, just stuff a piece of paper towel in carb when starting, remove it when it starts, and install filter back in cover.

0 mine broken,suggested, remove air cleaner and try a shot of WD40 than replace cover. Fired right up, one pull.
