0 If not an electric start but a pulll cord start type, make sure the red on - off switch is set to on ( bar, not circle ) position. Choke the unit per the diagram on the air cleaner, pull the cord rope handle and hope it fires up. If it starts up and then dies out, you may need new gasoline if a gas unit. Also - if you open the sir filter door and give a small shot of starting fluid / ether into the open carburetor, choke open position, then pull to start and adjust the choke if it starts. I find that my generator is touchy whne starting. You may want to replace the spark plug if no firing occurs. Make darn sure the red on - off switch is set to the on position. I spent dozens of tries to pull start my unit only to have forgotten to find the little switch and to turn it on first! hope this helps you. If it starts, safely plug in the 110 vac cords and power up what you need, obaerving all normal precautions for electrical use.
