I have a Poulan TE 450 weed eater that will run fine for about 5 minutes. It then just slowly starts to choke off. I've cleaned the air filter. I haven't replaced the spark plug but will. It seems odd that it runs fine for about 5 minutes and then loses power.

0 The same thing happen to me. I replaced the fuel lines and the filter in side the tank came off. Also check your fuel lines.

0 Thanks for the advice. Last Saturday I took it apart and both fuel lines had completely disintegrated inside of the tank. I've ordered lines and a filter and will fix. Thanks again.

0 Glad it helped, I went to ACe and picked up the fuel lines and replaced them, now the primer ball did the same. It still runs, but I do not like the it when the gas comes out while it's running. I like this weeder, so I'll fix that part also. I've had this weed eater for about 8 years and only had a couple items like this go bad. Fixable items. Glad it helped.
