Question About Poulan Trimmer XT260, FX26
drive shaft...

Anyone know the steps to check the drive shaft, engine starts but head does not turn, do I start at the engine side or head?

0 OK I disconnected the shaft tube from the engine, pulled out the driveshaft, I got all of it except the bottom end which broke off about the last 6 inches so the squared end is still attached where the head is. So since it is attached internally where the head is I cannot get that bottom broken piece out unless I can unscrew that freespinning nut shaft at the end. Can I unscrew that somehow from the bottom of the tube, it free spins? Any advice?
