PE-550 edger.. How is the SMALL GEAR removed.. Is it turned onto the shaft counterclockwise or is it Pressed onto the shaft and has to be pull off using a special gear puller.. Please help..Thank You PS,,Pulling what hairs I have left out

0 a slide hammer with a pair of vise grips adapted---a couple taps the gear is removed!!!
