0 i would suggest using a higher oil content than is stated on the bottles. believe i scored my piston rings by not using higher mixture.

0 A safe premix would be 40:1, this will also depend on the type of brand 2 stroke oil you use.

0 I have an original owners manual and the specifications call for a 16:1 mixture. 1/2 pint oil to 1 gallon of gas.

0 My saw was working and after running out of gas it would not start. I checked everything, the spark plug had spark, the fuel lines were open I did not know what it could be. I found a service center that works on small engines that would look at it, many don't because they can not get a lot of repair parts. They replaced the spark plug, vacuumed out the fuel line and tank and started the saw.I have not had a problem since that time.
