Question About Poulan Chainsaw 222

Poulan 222 My chain saw works good untill I shut it off and wont start again untill it cools off. Was told this is a stater problem. Is this true and how hard is it to change

0 When my PoulanPRO 222 did that I would open the gas cap, release the pressure build up and then start it. It says that somewhere in the operators manual, but I can't remember where. Also, once the saw got about 8 hours of run time on it, it stopped doing it so much and it began idling much better.
