starts, but stops running when accelerating

for Weed Eater Trimmer WT300

trimmer start, but when I try to accelerate the engine sputters and dies. I can then start it again, but it just continues to do the same thing, even while I adjust the choke lever. It will accelerate momentarily before it dies.
