my 34cc 4 cycle trimmer stopped running and will…

for Craftsman Trimmer 316.79199

my 34cc 4 cycle trimmer stopped running and will not restart. Plug is firing. Removed air filter and put in a little gas. Pulled the cord and air came rushing out of the carb. Acted like it has a stuck intake valve. Do these engines have valves? Help. Tom
