for Electrolux Trimmer 95390024300

I have a weed eater string trimmer, model no.wt3100. It starts up and idles for a short period of time, then when I try to pull the throttle, it will rev up momentarily, then sputter and die. It will start again, but do the same thing, even while I adjust the choke. What is the reccommended starting procedure please? Thanks
