Speed setting

for Fisher-Price Swing Sets BO639

I dont know if you would call it a real problem. But I am kind of concerned. I put my newborn daughter who weighs about 6.5 lbs in the swing and when i turn the swing on and set it at the lowest speed setting it seems to go way to fast (in my opinion). Could her weight be affecting the swing speed? Should i wait til she is a little heavier before putting her in the swing? or am i just being overly paranoid?
