My Ariens 5524 snowblower won't start. Gas is full...

My Ariens 5524 snowblower won't start. Gas is full. Switch under gas tank is on. Primed it 8 times before trying electric start, but won't turn over. Makes noise like its trying to start but won't "catch" & start up. Please help. Gas is new.
