log splitter...

I had a bachold lod splitter,witha 5 HP Briggs engine, seems like the relief valve need adjusted, doesn,t have much push, what kind of oil should i use in the Hyd system, Thanks, Cart

3 I use universal hyd. fluid from Farm King here where I live. I also have one of these Bachtolds. It must be one of their first models. It was tough until enough oil leaked out, and a crotchy piece of elm. Not sure which part went bad all of a sudden. ?????
