won't start

for Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower Series 410 thru 420

I have a Briggs 550 158cc and it won't start. It has gas, oil and the level just right. When primed it will ack like it will start and will not. It will not respond to the handle bar throddle either

    Possible problems to look at are: old fuel, blocked idle jet under carb bowl, intake manifold "o" ring at back of carb not sealing- allowing too much air, primer has small hole.
