installed new battery mowed yard ,raised seat to j...

installed new battery mowed yard ,raised seat to jump off the other mower mower died ,now the mower has no fire from ignition switch checked power down at the soloinoid ,there was none took hot wire &ground went down to soloinoid, moter turns over but no fire,what have i over looked?
