cub cadet LT 1045 series 1000 with hydrostatic drive

for Cub Cadet Lawn Mower 1000

While cutting grass, my cub cadet stopped moving forward. It no longer will go forward or backward when the pedal is presses forward or backward. Before this happened, everything was working ok.

    Did you check the drive belt? Mine came loose and needed to be replaced. I was able to slip the worn belt back on and I am using it until it breaks. There is a service manual for the 1000 / 1500 series that will show you how to replace the belt when needed. I have attached the link.

    I had the same thing happen. As the mower sat and idled, white smoke poured out from under the engine. PTO will engage and the engine runs, it just will not go forward or backward as the pedals are pressed. It is hyrdrostatic driven.
