20 amp fuse blows about 30 seconds after I enguage PTO,amp meter shoots to - 20 just before fuse blows then goes to 0 to + 5 amp's but motor runs fine,PTO disengauges after fuse blows. checked All wires and cleaned and adjusted PTO. Could regulator be bad

for Cub Cadet Lawn Mower 01008371 15HP Z-Force 44

20 amp fuse blows about 30 seconde after I enguage the PTO switch. Icleaned and adjusted the PTO, checked for broken and bare wires,all ok.I am baffled. Could it be the voltage regulator/rectifer? The owner is Dying of cancer and I"m trying to fix it for him before this happends. He is a close friend of mine and I am not charging him a penny to fix it but i don't want to buy parts that is'nt bad.

    I somehow messed up since this is my 1st"time asking for help.
    The problem with the fuse blowing is on a Cub Cadet 1330, Modle #132-233F100. Not the 15hp Z Force44 as listed. Sorry for any confusion but I still need any help that can be offered. Donny Sr.
