5 There are two lines into the fuel tank. The supply to the carb is easy but the other (vent?) is gone and I can't find where it used to connect.

5 Vent line doesn't actually connect, it just provides a flow of air from the tank to the outside so the carb can draw fuel. Just hide the end somewhere up and to the right inside the case. Leave the other end inside the tank hanging down about an inch or so. From the factory they have a duckbill valve on the end of the line inside the tank to prevent fuel from coming through the line.
