Chain will not go around

for Stihl Chainsaw MS 290, 310, 390

I have a Stihl MS290 chainsaw which was working fine, but now the chain will not move around the bar. It starts OK [with a little choke], and the chain is trying to go around [moving a few millimeters forward. But it will not rotate at speed. Please help if you know what the problem is, and how I should fix it. Thanks

    If the Chain lock is released you probably have a kinked chain. Could be a crimped blade but 99% chain.

    he's talking about the chain break , just pull back on the flat bar in front of handle, you will hear a thump, now start the engine
