I have a Northstar 8000 generator running on Propa...

I have a Northstar 8000 generator running on Propane. It will start and run for about 30 seconds and then sputters, backfires and quits. I have checked the oil, airfilter, etc. it acts as though it's starving for fule....any ideas?
