0 Most mowers has safety switches that prevent the mower from starting if you are not operating the unit safely (it is possible that a switch could have also gone bad). They will not start if the blade is engaged, or if you are not sitting in the seat, or if you don't have the break pedal pressed down (which disengages the engine from the transmission) so the mower does not start moving unexpectedly. If the battery is weak or cables/connections are corroded not enough power will reach the starter. Most of these mowers will also have a number of fuses, the locations of which can be found in the electrical schematics.
