Question About MTD Tiller ?
old mtd garden tiller...

need to find out what type of tiller i have it has mtd 5 around the handle bars where you work the levers but the sticker that has the model and serial number is faded so badly i am unable to read it any more i have talked to mtd and they gave me two different model # it could be but know it is not either one of them i need help so i can get some parts for it they told me it is possible it may be a troy built but i dont know why it has mtd on it but it is red need help badly broken down gardener

0 I ahd the same problem. mine is a 5hp its kinda orange not red, rear tine I have yet to find a part manual for the motor but I did find out what model it is ow I did it was I looked through the manuals that fit the description, the cover didnot look right but gave it a shot and found out it is a 216-406-000. the sticker on mine, like youre is faded. I hope this helps
