Unable to activate the cutter

3 i had the same problem. mine was a problem with wear on the cutter box safety switch housing. I fixed it (temporarily!) by just disconnecting the 2 wires from the switch. the switch is mounted to the inside of the rear body above the wheel arch ro the right rear wheel (where the grass box locating arm protrudes. fixed the problem but it does mean you can operate the cutters with no box on which could be dangerous, but at least it works. the switch itself is ok, but because the mounts are worn there is too much flex in the switch to enable the grass box to properly operate the switch. hope this helps.
