The oil plug is positioned to the left of the hole it should drain through into disposal container when changing oil. How am I supposed to drain the oil without getting oil on other parts of the mower?

0 I just bought the same model. I received an extra with my mower, a "U" shaped piece of metal about four inches long. It is designed to fit under the oil drain plug on the left side of the engine and drain the oil (into a can or jar) awayfrom the engine.

0 I received a plastic extension for draining the oil, but couldn't get it to fit under the drain plug. Finally figured out that I have to turn the wheels far to the right which then allows enough space to slide the extension flush against the drain plug. Dumb me, I guess, for a while.
