Is the hex flange nut which holds the blade to the blade spindle right or left handed....which way to loosen?

5 the blade nut is turned Left to remove it . spray some penetrant on the nut ( top & bottom , under the blade ) before trying . if you have a hard time loosening the nut , hit the top of the bolt with a hammer to ' break ' the rust build-up ( if any ) & re-spray , wait 5 min & try again . ( Two , 1/2 inch wrenches ( for bolt & nut , top & bottom ) . works great , ! PS: dont forget to disconnect spark plug wire from the spark plug FIRST !!! also disconnect the battery cables , be SAFE !!

5 OOPS, sorry , please read this !! Blade Nut ( on TOP , hex head ) is turned RIGHT !!! to remove it .!! Blade Nut on Bottom is turned LEFT !!! Please , accept my aplogies , i was distracted by my dog barking at our door .
