Question About Mountfield Lawn Mower SP536
my mountfield 554R engine lawnmower, cuts out when...

my mountfield 554R engine lawnmower, cuts out when hot. starts ok again when left to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. any ideas how to resolve please ?

0 Hi it will be dirt in the carburettor or dodgy dirty petrol if the petrol was not fresh or maybe not yours then ditch it. To rectify your problem try unscrewing the nut at the bottom of the carburettor bowl probably a 10 mm nut let the fuel run out unscrew the fuel cap to allow a good flow and when the fuel gets towards the end put your mouth over the open fuel cap and give it a good blow. Then do the nut back up fill with fresh fuel and give it a few tries it should fire up ok. Hope this helps. Oh and you could try a new spark plug b2lm for a Mountfield engine at a guess and bpr6es for Honda but I am guessing. Good luck Graham Hemel Hempstead 07711 259634
