Left fuel 'on' over winter, won't start now has the honda GCV 135 4.5 engine such a reliable workhorse but it IS nearly 8 years old. Worth a service or not? Or is there a simple possible solution?

0 I am in exactly same position right now. Googled for a fix and only found this. Would love to hear a solution. The cord doesn't pull out far at all so it won't start. The cord seems to lock after 30 centimetres and stops.
